We have made a seed investment in AGAVITA, a startup developing a vision AI system for aquaculture operations.
AGAVITA uses visual data and machine learning to help monitor and interpret conditions at fish farms. The investment supports further product development and field validation, alongside an assessment of potential opportunities in markets including Japan and Spain.
Our interest in the company reflects a focus on using data to improve how established industries operate. Aquaculture offers a demanding setting for that work: products must be tested in real operating environments and adapted to the needs of customers and local markets.
